Alpacas (yes, I know this is back yard chickens)

Thread Starter

I apologize for being off topic, but I saw someone in the past that was discussing alpacas on this site. Is there anyone here that is familiar with them?  We are having a problem here on our farm with sick alpacas and the vet has not been able to help.  We have lost several during the past six months.

Thank you so much for your kind indulgence. (And we are considering adding chickens to our farm in the near future and I am hoping to learn more about them on this site.)

Sorry to hear you have some sick animals. You might get some response from the non-poultry forum here on BYC:

There is also a sister site here:

Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! :)

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

Hi and welcome to BYC. Alas, I know diddly squat about alpacas, but I hope that others can help. Good luck if you do decide to keep chickens - it's more fun than it may appear.

All the best

Did a moth know that the flame was going to change her life forever, or did she simply fly towards that heated embrace, knowing it would offer her something she couldn't give herself? In the end, the answer didn't really matter. The moth had never wanted the choice. -Joey W. Hill-
