Not generaldhsherman, but 2 of my family members have had their gall bladder out. My MIL is completely fine. My mom, whose gall bladder was 0% functioning when it was removed, has to be careful with really fatty meats. (mostly pork, especially bacon) The longer post surgery, the better it has gotten for both of them. It takes time for your body to adjust to not having it anymore.
Well its been years for my Mom and she still tends to have some problems then again the surgeon said he's never seen such an infected gall bladder before. She had over 20 stones in it or something, so I'm sure hers wasn't working either.
