Well gee you shoulda put a disclaimer on that now I'm not going to get any sleep! Aaaahhhhhh! Sorry. Just found out that my "eggs for education" that I won as a prize from mypetchicken from the Halloween Hatch-a-long are currently located(finally) in Madison... Did I mention they shipped Monday and I wasn't told until I inquired today? Ahhh! All I can think about is that video you posted
*gulps* I'm scared I'm sure BC of the mypetchicken affiliation they're packed well but I'm worried my last shipped hatch was a total bust. Yes I know it happens but I really want these eggies to turn into chickies
Do you think I'd be arrested if I broke into a USPS facility to get my own package? Lol
Hope they're okay tomorrow.
The bator is ready after they rest up. The new thermometer/hygrometer calibrated almost perfectly, as perfect as possible considering it doesn't go to the tenth degree, the humidity may have been off by 1% not a big deal.
I do have a couple questions that are going to make me sound like a newbie but as this is my first hatch with a backup hygrometer/thermometer I wanna be sure I'm doing it right@Sally Sunshine
I've only ever trusted my incubator thermometer and hygrometer so now that I have this calibrated one(hoping to add a second this weekend) should I just trust it and set the bator accordingly or not? I tried to calibrate the thermometer on my styrobator too by holding it so the probe was suspended in the water/ice mixture I was never able to get it below 35 degrees I find it hard to believe it's off that much since my previous hatches have been on day 21-22.... So I would love some input please.
My second question is that my styrobator temp sensor came stapled to a piece of plastic. I've read through the directions backwards forwards and upside down and no where does it say to remove that staple and plastic. Should I?
