The 7th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-A-Long!

Do you Have a gas or wood stove? You can boil water and put it in mason jars with the lid on tightly, if they fit in the incubator, that will help keep it warm.

My power went out and my temps are dropping fast

My incubator doesn't fit through the door. Should I pack the eggs up into cartons and put them on my heated seats ?

Depending on how long power is out wrap the incubator in blankets, grab bottles and add hot water before it cools and set around the eggs, make a fire and heat rocks in a pan then wrap in a towel and put with them. Push comes to shove yeah. Put them in cartons as on your heated seats and tuck a warm blanket around it. You can even put those emergency heat blankets over it if you have one and some of those break to activate hand heat packs. Act fast before they cool.

These will help so good luck.

Yep, hot water bottles..if you don't have any bottles, then yes, go ahead and use those car seats. Make sure how warm the bottom of the seat is getting, once you know, you will know whether to move them or not...I would put them in something they can lay down on though, not up in cartons. A thick towel on hand?
