PinkyLee, no worries, i did misunderstand what you said, but no offence was taken.
She (Tikkie) was so incredibly cute today, i took her into the veggie patch wth me, and showed her a stinkbug on the tomato. She went wild, best stinkbug eater ever, and did not peck any of the fruit either! (Could explain the tapeworm...-i got the meds, but haven't administered it yet. Bit complicated)
Maybe your Nugget will stick around you too. Pikkie has no interest in the wild guineas here, she gives them the stink eye. But follows me, and other people, when they are around.
You seem to have some hectic predators where you live!

I still do not know whether she was telling me something was wrong, or all coincidence. (I paid most attention to her brother, but now that he is gone, dynamics have changed)

Is that how gunieas get worms from eatting bugs? I feed mine dried meal worms but it's so expensive. I was thinking of raising some meal worms. I am waiting for my husband to have a weekday off so he can take me to the meal worm supplier. It's located in the hood where you don't want your wife driving to. He was down the street working as a truck driver when Regenold Denny was attacked in the LA riot so he's a little paranoid. Is there something I should give my birds as a preventative measure? I heard to put apple cider vinegar in the water... I bought some food grade dyo earth to mix with my wood ash for a dust bath for mites... They like that. But they didn't touch the apple cider water. I find gunieas fascinating to look at such little characters.

You can put food Grade DE in her feed but what I do is I put about 2 tsp in a quart of water. I do this every month for a little over a week and never had a problem with parasites. DE is from the ocean so it still works when in water that's how most people consume it as well. Or you could buy a chemical wormer. I prefer the natural method. You can also put acv and garlic in their water and feed them spicy peppers. Make sure the acv is in a plastic water dish! Good luck, I hope your Guinea hen recovers.
