I am new to this breed and I am considering starting to breed them. I know this will take time to perfect, but before I start I want to at least make sure my rooster is good enough to start with. I know his comb is large, but what other good and bad features does he have? Is he good enough to start out with?

I might be a bit harsh, sorry in advance!

-His comb is too dark, should be a horn colour.
-His eyes also seem to be a golden or amber colour and should be more brown or "reddish bay"
-Feet bottoms are supposed to be white, in these images they look more of a green tone.
-Chest looks nice
-Beard could be more solid in colour

And he should be 6.5 Lbs!
Its a bit hard to judge the wing since there isn't a splayed out photo of it, but I'll assume its fine~
I would say hes a good staring place!

What about this fellow. He is supposed to be pure. He has blue legs and white feet. I am also looking at breeding these here in NC. Only problem here is most folks think Easter egger or they sale "Americauna" instead of saying Easter egger and some of them look close to breed standard

Well my first question is where did you get him? <3
Second is, do you have more pictures I could use to check him over with my standard? :D

I guess it depends if you plan on breeding to the standard...if so I would start over with better stock.

This is not a recognized variety of Ameraucana. I looks to be a hatchery grade Easter egger.
