Nesting Material Ideas

Hola everyone,

 

I'm looking at adding nesting material for my doves. Any recommendations? I have 3 baskets in the aviary already but they prefer to poop in them and roost instead.  Any advice would be more than helpful.

Dog bowls with Lil holes in bottom, n pine needles as bedding, or pine shavings, or hay/straw. In those orders.

keeping assorted bantams and standard chickens..    pigeons: "white dove release" racing homers, flying flights, flying birmingham rollers, parlor rollers, parlor tumblers, "coop tumblers", Chinease owls.

    Looking to talk to others who enjoy our pigeon/dove hobby.  Also looking to talk chickens, especially black bantam true rosecombs i hope to have again someday, as well as silkies, and...

Use straw. Works great. Pine needles too.

When left free, they usually use just twigs majority of time, sometimes feathers.
