What type of duck is this

post #1 of 4

I got it from a friend who grabbed a handful of random eggs for my hen to incubate, turns out the person he got the from kept ducks too, they all turned out to be ducks, 2 magpie and the other was this. I'm very sorry but my phone won't let me upload images so I'll give a description, he has a black head with a white ring on his neck, a brown chest, yellow long beak with a black dot at the end, he is a little smaller than my Pekin duck and has a thin neck compared to the magpies. His tail area is black and the rest of him is kind of greyish white. He has orange/yellow feet, and he's a male of corse. If anyone has any idea what he is please tell me, a good size comparison to him is he is the same size as the male magpie duck

Unfortunately we need a picture to tell. It's also possible he's a mix.

Of course if you have time you could check out feathersite's duck breed page: http://www.feathersite.com/Poultry/Ducks/BRKDucks.html

Breeder of Dutch bantams, Wyandotte bantams, and a few exhibition rabbits.

Feel free to ask me questions about chicken and rabbit care, breeds, and showing! I'm always happy to help!

And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts."
