Hi I am new to BYC and want to get 6-12 adult hens to start with. I would like to know if anyone knows where I could buy some adult RIR's in my area.
TIA,

Hi! I would try Craigslist for your area.( I am a buyer and seller on CL in my area. I am very careful.)  My way of making sure its a good deal is first I look the add over very well. Then email the seller with all questions. Then make sure the responses sound legit and real. Then I give them my number for further details. Anyways, I would try that. Good Luck  :)

Try your state chat thread ...http://www.backyardchickens.com/t/44/texas

Great article on VENTILATION, one of THE MOST IMPORTANT aspects of coop design.

Fantastic treatise to help decide how much SPACE your chickens need.

Chicken math is not just 'addition'...but also should include Division, Multiplication and especially Subtraction!!!
