Hey all, I have four hens three BO and one speckled Sussex. We are getting one two eggs a day. Do we have two hens laying or could we have more? How many eggs do you think we will get when they all start laying. I know who ever started laying first was laying three days on one day off. Thank you

Buff Orpingtons will generally lay 3-5 eggs a week, I believe Sussex are about the same. This time of year there can be a lot of starting and stopping, most become more regular and really start to lay by March.
Chickens, muscovy ducks, turkeys, donkeys , goats, dogs, fish, parakeets, a parrot, and a cat.

Chickens and dogs are healing to the soul.

I brake for squirrels.

Some of my birds.
