Duckling with swollen eye

Hi all I have a 6 day old crested pekin duckling with a swollen eye and mass behind it.I have been doing warm compresses 3-4 times a day, vetracin x2 daily and neosporin at bedtime. Wasn't sure if anyone has seen something like this? No others are sick and he isn't coughing or sneezing or showing any outward signs of illness.

Welcome to BYC! @IveGoneQuacky that looks like an infection, If possible I'd take the little one to a vet. It may need some antibiotics. @casportpony any ideas?

@Miss Lydia I agree - that needs some attention. A vet may need to drain it as well as prescribe oral antibiotics.

@Amiga It is not something I wouldn't want to try and treat so close to the eye. It does look like it maybe an abscess.

I would not want to try it, myself, either. But perhaps the person has some experience with this kind of thing, or knows a medical person.

He's still doing well. It looks like its been getting smaller over the last few days. He doesn't seem in any distress . He arrived from the hatchery Thursday morning with this and eats drinks and plays like his siblings.
