10 week old Silkie X Barred Rock chicks.

These are two two chicks that hatched at the end of November. Dad is a BR roo named Jojo and mom was a grey Silkie named Sponge.

What gender (if it's not too early) are they and what would you call their color?

Smudge (darker colored), Smidge (lighter colored).

Looks like two beautiful pullets.

They're mutts, mutts ain't got a real color. But the closest to a good descriptor would probably be a messy Cuckoo.

I agree they look like pullets.

I'd call them grey barred ( or cuckoo, really barred and cuckoo are the same genes so it doesn't matter in this case).

Pullets

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele
