One of my female quails is getting a real bloody head from the male jumping on her and grabbing hold of her head. Is there anything I can put on it like antiseptic? I don't want it to get infected. Thanks.
 
Vetericyn wound spray is very good from a farm store, and alternates would be weak betadine, plain Neosporin ointment or BluKote in that order. She should be removed to heal. Sounds like the male needs separation also.
