Hi there! Newbie here :)

Welcome to Backyard chickens. Have you explored the "Serama" thread and "People with housechickens.? I mention that because Seramas were originally bred to be house pets. Rather than give them a separate coop or hutch, you may want to keep a couple just as house birds, and have a secure fenced run with cover for when you want them outdoors.
I actually have been looking at the Serama thread, and I would love to keep them indoors, but I definitely want them to get fresh air too. I even take my cats for walks to get them fresh air, my big boy loves nothing more than to graze on the grass, silly kitty. I just wonder how messy would the Seramas get walking around indoors. I read about chicken diapers but that seems more like it's for short term. I heard some people train theirs to go on a towel or something, but I'm sure they must have accidents still. Maybe I can keep them in the room I dedicate to my future house bunny pair (I plan to adopt a bonded pair of rabbits to live in doors, they will have their own cage but also free run of the room they're kept in) and invest in a really good carpet cleaner! lol
