Help... hen weak and falling over!

I have a 5 year old Leghorn hen. Last week she started looking unwell by pulling her head into her shoulders, tail down and comb falling over. On Sunday I found her laying on her side in the snow. She does not appear to be injured. I brought her in the house and have been trying to hydrate and tempt her with cat food mixed with her normal crumble. She will stand but only for a few seconds and then just settles down to the floor or falls over. She will eat and drink if I put it directly in front of her. She doesnt appear in distress, no breathing difficulties and her poop looks normal. I percieve that she might have improved a bit over the last few days but that may just be optimistic thinking. Any suggestions or comments on what might be going on or am i taking appropriate measures?

There are far more informed people on here than me but being as she is a production breed it could be that she is now the equivalent of an 80+ year old most leghorn hens are switched out of production before their second b-day so it could be she is just getting old and beginning to feel it.

Thats what I was thinking. We were on the tail end of a brutal cold snap where we barely broke into the single digits during the day and - 10 at night. I am leaning towards that she is elderly and her age and the cold was too much for her.

I agree about the cold that was way to cold for her a Leghorn especially.

Nutri Drench on the tongue and pedialyte and Exact Formula may help bring

her back up. Also warmth warmth warmth.
