Introduction

Thread Starter

I am new to backyard chickens.  We are only allowed to have 7 per household.    I have 7 seven but have an empty lot next door and so I am thinking another 7 would then be permitted.  Fully enjoy the ones I have now.  three cochins, two austrolorps and two Plymouth barred rocks.

Have had these birds two years in March 2016.  Wanting to learn more.  Just been flying by the seat of my pants so far.  Was shocked by how long it takes from molt and resumption of egg production.

Hi, Alby, welcome to BYC.  Now that day length is increasing so should the egg production of your birds.

Friends are the family you make for yourself.
There are no coincidences- only providences.
