Yup, bout 4 feet long, 10 rattles. Cacapon is loaded with them

thats what i thought , im on the mountain that faces cacapon , we dont have all the rocks that are  there  and iv not seen any  but im sure there all around  cool picture ..... 3 or 4 more and u could have a pair of boots  and i hear there goood eating

Would have been a pic of a very dead snake if I had posted it!  EWWW!!!!!!  Only ONE GOOD SNAKE around my place!!!  A VERY DEAD ONE!!!!  thumbsup

Married 21 years~Mom to a 17 yr old (almost 18- YIPEE!!!) 14 yr old triplets (whew!) a 7 yr old (who keeps us all on our toes!) 3 cats, 2 dogs, pond of assorted fish.  2 turtles and hopefully very soon a small flock of chickens!!!

My husband works at Cacapon State Park and they caught 4 rattlers and 2 copperheads just last week.  I only live less than 2 miles from there.  To me, the only kind of snake is a DEAD ONE!

Thanks for creeping me out even more Two Creeks!

They can kill every last one of them IMO! Here they get wacked!

Being this was on state property, I did not feel obliged to kill it as its against the law:/ We had a 51 inch 10 rattle one here a while back, had<---lol

Hate to break it to you but state parks are protected land.  Not only are you not allowed to pick the flowers, lol you are also not allowed to kill any of the wildlife.  Crazy when it comes to venomous snakes, I know...but it's a fact. sad  They capture and relocate elsewhere on the park property.  Stupid huh. 

All snakes at my house are to be shot on site!

You did, lol.  I just wanted to share that it's the same for the employees.  I think some rules need changed myself.  They have already had one lady bitten by a timber rattler this year.

I wouldn't have stayed around to even take a picture.  I would have been LONG gone.
