Hello everyone just joined this forum so I am new to this. I have had chickens over the years and recently been chickenless for about 6 years or so. I have met someone that loves animals as much as I do and after a long discussion and planning we decided to get some more chickens. OK, it was supposed to be a few each to start out ........... We ordered 27 to split in half. I got excited prepared a nursery brooding area and got on the internet looking at chickens and hatcheries.. Huge mistake!!!! I found My. Health

Hi and welcome to BYC. I do hope you enjoy being a member as much as your chicken keeping renaissance! But really, splitting 27 in half - i wouldn't like to be the 27th chick in the box!

OK I posted my story it only put the first half up ... I have a lot to figure out. Does this site limit the word you can post??

not normally - maybe its because its only your second post. the moderators limit activity in initial posts to help prevent spam etc. Post a few more and try again.

I called to ask a few questions checking them out.. .well, next week is our first delivery of 27 day old chicks and on Feb. 17 the next shipment of 150 day old chicks will be on their way... Do you think we got a little too excited?? Hehe
