McMurray order of Red Stars and Whiting True Blues

I'm so glad I found this thread! I hadn't heard of wtb or sbel before I think those are going to be on my list for next year

can't wait for the pretty eggs! But I'm going to live vicariously through all your photos for now

My Whiting True Blues started laying this week. 19 weeks old. Actually one of them started laying. I'm pretty happy about it, some of my 19 week old Red Stars are laying and one of my 17 week old White Leghorns is laying as well.

I have 5 true blues with four of them laying. they started at 20-21 weeks but it has been in the mid to high 90's since they were about 15 weeks so I expected them to be late. the body types is kind of like a big leghorn but fatter. 1 is blue colored, 1 is solid black and 3 have black body's with gold streaks on their neck's. Nice chicken's not flighty and lay pretty well once they start. My only complaint is my true blues lay the exact shade of green as my EE"s LOL.

I've never has EEs but I do like how the True Blues lay regularly. We have lots of different colors, my favorite is black with gold\red streaks down her back.

Hi!
I'm quite interested in your Whiting True Blues.... Are they laying yet? Any chance you could post more pictures? I think I'm falling in love with them...
Thanks!

These are my Whiting True Blues. I have three white two black and this white and beige one. They are 8 weeks so I have a ways to go before I get my first eggs.

I have two Cuckoo Blue Bar Roosters and two blue bar chicks all so.
