Taming Older Birds

I have never had chicks; I only get hens or older pullets. I always use the method the Mountain Peeps has mentioned above and that seems to work really well. I use either corn or their favourite treats (eggs, mealworm, apple, etc.), just to mix it up.

I do that with my pullets.
I worked with Adele today. She will eat out of my hand but not let me touch her. She is a food pig!!! I sprinkled mealworms around me and had some in my hand.
She loved that! I was able to touch her while she was on the roost.
I work with her again tomorrow!
