Sexing Muscovy ducks

Hi.

I am new to owning Muscovy ducks but I believe I have 2 boys and two girls going by the length between beak to tip of tail. Anyway I am interested in what others think.

You maybe right, time will tell. Although that is a good indicator when they are older I haven't ever seen anyone sex them as young as your with out vent sexing. It will be interesting to see so please post back and let us know. very pretty babies

Super cute. As ML says -maybe- it's pretty hard when they are very wee... i admit i can usually eyeball the masses here and typically the littlest are the girls but young ones can fool you especially if they are from bigger clutches.. would be nice if you had a 50/50.. do post back in a few weeks they grow amazingly fast so it becomes pretty obvious to those who have seen loads of them.
 
Males tend to have thicker legs/bigger feet. Used that method to get my two girls (Slate & Ducktor) when they were 2 weeks from a breeder. I'm like "I gots made skill yo" :).

I agree with the others when they say they might be too young to tell (by size), unless you vent sex them. One of my girls was always bigger than the other until they got older and they evened out.

I sort of was hoping size would dictate at 3 weeks. But waiting is something I can do...longer I get to enjoy them

Demonic fowl was there much difference between their legs/feet at 2 weeks? Mine are 3 weeks one yellow one looks like it has longer legs but it could be my bad photo taking with a phone.

Not a very big one but I was SUPER bent on getting hens! Boom get out the way, drakes, I'm here for ladies only! Females will have slimmer leg shanks and less predominate "ankles". I think 6 weeks the size should tell who's what.
 
Ok thanks. I am not really worried about what sex they are however I am eager to find out.

Well I was half right. I got 1 drake and 3 ducks. Harpo the drake on the left and 2 of the girls cuddles and ducky on the right.
