I need to start vaccinating my day old chicks for infectious bronchitis, I have it on the property and want to prevent my broilers from losing meat weight during the fattening period, as well as protect my laying hens.

I have googled, called my local vet, all to no avail.  PLEASE!- WHERE CAN I PURCHASE THESE VACCINES???

THey exist, I've read about them...lol....

Infectious bronchitis is only carried  for 5 months up to a year in flocks. If it has been over a year, you may not need the vaccine. There are more than one strain of the virus, so you may want to check with your state vet about what one they are seeing. Here is some reading:

Holy crap. So...I need your Advice lol. I hatch a batch a month, my older hens have IB that has been passing around since October. No deaths, just cruddy feeling chickens. You are saying that if I don't hatch for 6 months, I can be free of IB??

I would first try to get a couple tested. Some birds may have more than one disease, and the culture may not always show up positive, but it would be good to know that it is definitely IB. Then I would wait more than a year from the last bird showing any symptoms. A mild case of MG can resemble IB, and that can be passed through hatching eggs.
