I have two amercaunas, two wellsummers , two lakenvelders ,a silver laced cochin, a golden laced cochin, a buff  brahma , a jersey giant, a cream brabranter, and a buff orphinton.   And yes the chicken in the picture is mine.

I am interested in White Leghorns and just want the breeds that can produce the most eggs.(more bang for your buck) I am trying to find someone that will sell me a few chickens that are at the stage of producing eggs. I really don't want to have to start with chicks. We are trying to get our "chickens" in a row. smile.png

Did a moth know that the flame was going to change her life forever, or did she simply fly towards that heated embrace, knowing it would offer her something she couldn't give herself? In the end, the answer didn't really matter. The moth had never wanted the choice. -Joey W. Hill-

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

For the most  eggs for your money  - you may want red or black sex links  or Black australorps.   You would want  'point of lay,' pullets or  laying hens.  I don't know how readily available they are and the cost would be  higher than for  baby chicks.
