at the time I had 3 red sex links but got rid of them they terrorize my girls it was awful. The last straw was when I actually saw one rooster drag Mabel out of the house by her neck feathers and all three where on her. I packed them off to a guy that took roosters that day. It's a shame one was absolutely beautiful he had reddish brown feathers and at 5 months he was like 9 pounds. He was so heavy and big.

With those choices, the silkie is the father. And according to what I read here years ago, a silkie male over a white skinned female gives sex linked chicks by shank color. White it male, black is female. Going by that you have a little cockerel.

ok. Is that true with Easter Egger and silkie mixes too?
 
Nope, cause the EE have dark legs. What I read was a black skinned rooster (silkie or ayam cemani, something like that) over a white skinned hen. I've never done it myself, but I trusted the person who posted it.
 
Just for your information, your red cockerels are/were not sex links which would be predominantly white with red shoulders. Those 3 in your last photo are probably production reds.

As has been previously stated, the father of your chick has to be the silkie if he is the only other option.

i am sorry your right they where production reds when my I got my ducks they put them in for warmth. Silkie is the dad Can't what to see it feather out.
