Hello for Cali,
I have backyard chickens in California. I recently had to farm out my 2 older girls and now have 4 mixed bantams ( 1 silkie, 2 polish, 1 americana and 1 barred. When we sent off our older girls, 1 had a lot of stick fleas around her eyes, but the other didn't. We have just put out the new girls in large coop after cleaning and dusting coop with Diatomaceous earth, along with giving young chicks a dusting too. After one week, we are noticing these fleas around their eyes and head. What to do? BTW...we eat the eggs

Actually DE does nothing to rid your birds or parasites. I'm not sure what "stick fleas," are maybe that is the same as lice or mites. But you need to go to a farm store and buy a proper treatment for them and dust them and all around the coop and roosts and nest boxes. You usually have to repeat within a certain time. They won't go away over night. Your birds can be re-infected if you add new birds to your flock - and wild birds can also do it.

Thank you for the response. I think we are going to take drastic measures and use Frontline and Sevin.
