Hen or Rooster light Sussex - Page 2

I am wondering if I could change her behaviour by feeding her foods high in estrogen? Any thoughts?

I have never seen any research on that, and I doubt there is any but Google may give you a study. I should think it would be more analyzing the food rather than adjusting hormones for the hen but worth a try.

HRT for women is traditionally done with creams (fastest transmission) and then pills (which give less results). Soy is a known plant estrogen.

Interesting question. I suspicion the amount needed to be eaten would be rather high to actually impact. Drops might be needed.

Post if you find an answer.

If it's a year old, it's female.

I'm guessing it's got ovarian damage or hormonal imbalance. Just cause a hen crows doesn't mean it's got male DNA. Hormones account for most of the gender behaviors. Would also explain why she's a poor layer.

I'm guessing a inter-sexed chicken (mix of both)
