Hi,

I'm really really new here from Mansfield, MA! I'm actually not even a chicken parent yet lol just looking to gain as much knowledge as I can on here before I start a new journey!

I'm actually still searching for the laws/regs/ poultry ordinances in my town and can't seem to find them anywhere. If anyone by chance knows what they are please let me know!

If anyone has some advise on how to begin please PM me and let me know. I need to know everything I can about raising chickens in New England.

Thanks!! I cant wait :)

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. I would recommend stopping by your city hall. Someone there should be able to tell you what (if any) restrictions there are on raising chickens in your area. If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at http://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is lots of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Good luck in getting some chickens.

Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! :)

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

Hi and welcome to BYC. There may be other members in your town - search for your state or sub-state thread and maybe post something there.

Your village or city hall should have that information available   either by phone, visit, or  their website. Hope you will be able to have birds.

Hello!

Welcome to BYC and the coop! There's a lot of great peeps here! Feel free to ask lots of questions. But most of all, make yourself at home. I'm so glad you decided to join the BYC family. I look forward to seeing you around BYC.
Did a moth know that the flame was going to change her life forever, or did she simply fly towards that heated embrace, knowing it would offer her something she couldn't give herself? In the end, the answer didn't really matter. The moth had never wanted the choice. -Joey W. Hill-
