Cochin X Rir?

I'm about to try this cross just for fun and in hopes that some of the offspring will lay as well as the rir, and have the great personality of the Cochin.

I have two rir hens, and a standard Cochin rooster I'm about to put with them. Just curious if anyone's tried this before, and if so, how'd it turn out? Pics please if you've got 'em;)

What variety is the Cochin? You'd end up with a medium-large bird with medium feathered feet, a single comb, probably a decent layer of brown eggs.

I'm deciding between my blue with orange hackles/saddles, and my black with orange hackles/saddles. They are brothers. I may put them both in there as they are very gentle with the girls and very attached to each other. I'm also considering putting my Cornish X hen in with them.

Blue X RIR will get 50% black and 50% blue offspring, all males with lots of red and orange leakage in the hackle, wing bow, and saddle, probably to the extent that they will look like a blue/red Birchen. Females will likely see red hackle and possibly tail leakage.

Black X RIR will get all black offspring, with similar red and orange leakage to the other offspring.

Black X CX Hen will produce white with some black and red leakage, as will Blue X CX.

Thanks for you input! Those sound like they'd be really cool! I'm gonna put the roosters in this morning and see what happens. Thanks!
