Limping Chicken

Thread Starter

I went outside this morning and I noticed that one of my chickens is limping. I checked her over no broken bones no bumble foot and no signs of cuts are injury's. I'm thinking that she has sprained it or pulled a muscle as I know how painful that can be and she isn't putting any weight onto it. I'm just worried that my other hens might attack her but I don't want to separate them as then that will cause problems in the pecking order. So I'm not too sure what to do???

Any advice or help would be appreciated :)

If it's just a limp she should be fine, the other birds shouldn't bother her unless she's at the bottom of the pecking order, or if she's acting odd. They can occasionally get sprains and strains jumping off thing.
Chickens, muscovy ducks, turkeys, donkeys , goats, dogs, fish, parakeets, a parrot, and a cat.

Chickens and dogs are healing to the soul.

I brake for squirrels.

Some of my birds.
