Hello everyone my name is Brandi.
I'm new here to this site; to owning chickens and I've done alot of research. So I'm here to learn more, to get feedback, to talk to others with the same interests I have about Chickens/Roosters. I currently am a proud chicken mama of (4) Chickens, out of those there's 3 Roosters and one hen. Not to worry the Roosters are separated, One is (Loki) He's a Black Jersey Giant, the other is Thorn a Black Copper Maran X, Then we have Falco, my Easter Egger, Lastly, My Hen, Sandee a white Langshan X. I've also Ordered Chicks from Stromberg's Chicks & Game Birds Unlimited, they're scheduled to arrive March 16th. I ordered (6)Light Brahmas, (5) Black Jersey Giants, (5) Salmon Favorelles all female accept for one Light Brahma.

Hi Brandi,

I'm new here and to chickens as well! Jersey Giants are on my list to order this year for my new flock and I can't wait until they all arrive! LOL
Those are some pretty Roo's you have!

. I will post pictures of my chicks which will arrive next month on the 16th from Stromberg's Chicks & Game Birds Unlimited. I've heard and read pros and cons about this place, I can only hope and pray my little ones will be healthy. I'm trying not to stress myself out and trying to keep positive. I made sure to ask a ton of questions to the operators in which I spoke with, all seemed knowledgeable about Chickens and breeds. They answered my questions both accurately and very politely. I only heard the pros and cons after I had already ordered my Chicks. Thank you for your very sweet comment about my Roos Shellie.

Thanks BantamFan4Life I'm happy to be here and to learn from other's experiences in raising chickens. I'm excited to meet people and learn as much as possible. Everyone here seems so very nice.

Not sure if anyone here goes on Facebook but they also have a group called 530 Poultry and people from out of state from what I've seen go on there and sell chicks, ducklings, Roosters, Goslings, I mean all fowl. Alot of people are extremely nice, I'm just putting it out there should anyone like to learn more about Chickens and meet other people too. Although I like Backyard Chicken because this group goes into more depth and detail about experiences, products, care, and pros and cons where everyone can learn from each other.

Hi Brandi and welcome to BYC. I'm glad that you find this site useful - i sure do! Good luck and all the best with your new flock members.
