So glad my non existent mental filter didn't seem like I was taking over your original idea. I am also extremely excited about the plan; even if it's going to take awhile to put together.

@MyPetChicken (off subject question) Does that 10% discount that everyone was gifted for entering this drawing stand as a additional discount onto the already 10% off eggs, or is it the same discount? So would I be getting 20% off of hatching eggs (if I used the one given here) or only 10% off either way? (phrased this in two different ways to clarify my question)

Idea sharing is never bad.

Technically yes it is 2 discounts. It is 10% off of the original price and then 10% off of that pricing.

Well that's a good deal for hatching eggs! I might be a tempted to buy eggs right after my "brinsea test hatch" is complete, it's day 13 already.

In 8 more days I'll have Black Copper Marans, Blue Orpingtons, Buff Orpingtons, F1 Olive Eggers and some mystery bantams. In fact my heart speeds up a bit just thinking about all of those new babies to watch.

A little bummed all of a sudden. My Pet Chicken called and the Carolina Blue Sex Links I ordered aren't available...seems the silly things just aren't laying. But the girl I spoke to, Laura, was just awesome in offering me either other choices, waiting for them to start, or cancelling my order. I don't want to cancel now that I'm all geared up for my first hatch, don't want to wait because our busy traveling time of year is coming close and I want the chicks integrated with the flock by then, so substitution was the most likely choice for me. So looks like my order will be Ameri-flowers after all, plus a couple of Green Magnolias...whatever the heck they are.

What really worried me a little is that she had no record of the Ultra Rare Assortment eggs that @LocalYokel so generously passed on to me. Laura was going to check for me and call me back. I'm a little worried because I was really hoping to get all of the eggs shipped at the same time so I wouldn't end up with a staggered hatch or, even worse, not being able to put one set in at all because of the timing and only having one incubator. But she sounded pretty doggone professional and cheerful on the phone, so I sure hope something works out. Alex, I think I like Laura, too!
 
Too bad about the change, those others sound interesting thought. I thought the winners got a hatchery choice if they won?

I dunno....I was just told to PM Alex with what I'd like and they'd do their best to accommodate. I didn't actually "win", well, except for win a new friend. @LocalYokel won and he decided he'd like me to have the eggs.

The Carolina Blue Sex Links I had ordered before. They interested me since they are an auto-sexing variety and an Easter Egger type to boot.
