Did you have yours since they hatched?

My female Bean is skittish, since she's not imprinted on people. She's sweet in her own way, though. She always wants to be wherever you are, she'll hop onto the bed, or beanbag, or sofa, or wherever to just sit with you. If you try to pick her up she'll bolt, though.

But Wobbles? I hatched him and spoiled him rotten. The trick is to get a duckling who is imprinted on humans, and spend as much time with them as possible as they grow up. Cuddle time is important, it not only helps form a bond but it teaches them that hands = good. It's also the most crucial time to teach them what behaviors are good and which are bad. If you can do all that, and your duck's individual personality lends itself naturally to it, you'll get a calm, snuggly duck who loves attention!

My calls are quite tame but most were raised by me in my house.. like bathe in the tub kinda thing... the one that was raised last year by her mama not so much.. she's still skittish... I have a bakers dozen(so 13) i have to handle them often, they are penned but i ensure they are locked up nightly which on occasion involves some grabbing them and putting them in.

My huge flock of ducks.. look, numbers wise i lose count at over 2 dozen Muscovy alone..  some are, some are not.. i have leg pullers.. some eat of your hand, they were not raised by me.. my ducks raise their birds and have so for years, they just learn i am the food lady so they have no problem practically tripping me.

My pekin will come when called.. they were raised in my house but frankly, after put out into the big flock.. they backed off... My Buffs and buff crosses are the least friendly of them all, the pure buffs were raised by me indoor but skittish as the day is long... their children, some scovie/buff x's raised by both buff females are just as bad.. you cannot get within 5ft of them...

So they we go... i own Muscovy, buffs, pekin, calls and then the buff/scovie x's. Almost all free ranged except calls, as stated They are penned.
