Favorite Layer Feed?

Thread Starter

Looking for everyone's opinion/successful experience as to what ya'll are feeding your layers.

So far I've used  1. Dumor layer pellets

                        2. Purina Start and Grow

I'm not a fan of either.

I actually use Purina Layena pellets with great results. Makes great, strong eggs and I don't even have to supplement Oyster Shell. Dumor layer pellets are no good in my opinion, nor are their starter feeds. Their starter makes the chicks poop stink really really bad.

Great article on VENTILATION, one of THE MOST IMPORTANT aspects of coop design.

Fantastic treatise to help decide how much SPACE your chickens need.

Chicken math is not just 'addition'...but also should include Division, Multiplication and especially Subtraction!!!
