Sick bird (BBB Hen "Mars")

So the other day Mars started exhibiting symptoms of a nasty cold. I automatically jumped to the worst possible thoughts BLACK HEAD but she wasn't exhibiting all the symptoms. I read in a post here that someone had used cayenne pepper to fight it. I told my wife to pick up some yesterday while she was in town. I managed to get her to drink two sips of water and two bites of instant mashed potatoes with cayenne pepper powder mixed in this morning she was 100% better than 12 hours before. I don't know if it was the cayenne pepper or just that she had a standard issue cold and she fought it off she ate two whole helpings of mashed potatoes and drank the water. I'm going to keep up on the cayenne pepper just in case it was that

The things I do for her... I really am starting to wonder if I'm crazy. I noticed she was picking at her feet and legs a lot so this morning the wife and I gave her a bath just in case she had mites now she's sitting in front of a heater with a towel draped over her. She's none too happy with me right now

Good for Mars! I think Annie spent 2-3 hours in a dust bath the other day!

About 45 minutes here plus however long she'd been bathing before I got back from selling logs and a truck
