Good morning everyone,
I am relatively new to raising chickens (3rd year) and have a small backyard flock of 37. In the recent weeks I have noticed about 6 - 8 of my girls sneezing and coughing. I have treated them (entire flock) with probiotics, electrolytes and even some VetRx mixed into oatmeal but they do not seem to be getting better. I have decided to go with a broad spectrum antibiotic (Oxytetracycline) for 5 days to see how this works and understand that I must discard their eggs during the time they are on the antibiotics. What I do not know is how long I will need to discard the eggs after finishing the treatment. Any and all comments would be appreciated greatly.
Have a great day,
Evart Chickens
