So this is what one looks like!

When I had the eggs incubating back in early November, I wondered what cross it would be. Once they had hatched I knew exactly the cross. How did I know, well the 5 toes and feathered feet gave it away. Of course I already knew who the mama was, one of our Buff Orpingtons and the daddy is our Black Bearded Silkie.

I ended up with 3 of this cross.....2 cockerels and 1 pullet.

Here is the pullet.  I put them in with the main flock today, and she is NOT too happy about it! :rant

I love them! I think their color pattern are so interesting!

The two males have a beautiful black/green tail feathers!

My backyard flock includes: 1 White Leghorn Hen, 1 White Leghorn Rooster, 2 EE Hens, 1 EE Rooster, 2 Buff Orpingtons, 2 Australorps, 4 RIR Roosters, and 2 Silkie Roosters and 1 unsexed Silkie (1 black, 2 splash)

Looking forward to 2 BCM males, 2 SCM females, and 3 Double-Laced Barnevelder females in late April!! Very Egg-Cited!
