So after hours and hours of reading, I finally talked my husband into building me a coop.

My coop is 5x12 total. We used hardware cloth. It's HEAVY!

I am looking for suggestions on the roost bar. I was considering an L shape starting above the next boxes?
 
Looks great! Sure, an 'L' shaped roost would be fine. It's nice to have a 'poop board' under the roosts, since they poop a LOT at night, and that makes it easy to clean up.
But you shouldn't have too much trouble either way- what do you intend to use on the floor of your coop?

Well, after reading here I was thinking a poop board with pdz and pine shaving on the rest of the floor. Would that be correct?
