I just wanted to say hello to everyone and thank you guys for your answers and discussion. I've been reading the quail forum and researching for my new quail and though I don't have any more questions at this time, I still wanted to say thank you for the indirect advice!
I've got some A&Ms and some silver/tuxedo line eggs in the incubator currently and have some jumbos on order to get some birds established. I've raised lots of chicks, but this is my first foray into quail. I've also been googling the heck out of quail processing, how to cook quail, ideas for quail eggs. I'm super excited! I'm planning to outcross the silvers on the jumbo lines and then try to recover the color, hopefully breeding up the silvers in size and vigor. I just love silver coloration in any form, so eventually hope to have a sustainable covey (that's the right word?) of silver with good size.
Anyway, have read so much on here, felt it was appropriate to introduce myself.
