Hii all!!

We saved a rooster from evil.
Now his nails need to be trimmed badly.but someone told me he has some kind of dry skin on his foot.or parasites.i didnt noticed anything.
What do you think?

use a dremel for trimming but be careful, IMO their quick is closer to the end than dogs

I had a silkie hen with toes like that. I used some nail clippers (human actually :)) to slowly take a bit off every day, as the quick recedes when you do this and can be avoided. Her nails are back to normal length now.

 

As for the parasites, I think they were suggesting it might have Scaly-Leg Mites, which causes the scales to look dry and to stick out on the legs. However, from that picture he doesn't look like it.
