My female always quacks really loud when she hears us and starts head bobbing and they do this thing when we pet them they either pin our fingers down with their beaks or nibble up our arms excitedly what does that mean?
 
Idk how to post my pic on here but I did cross a buff orpington duck hen with a mallard duck. I ended up with a mallard looking female that totally acts like her full bred buff mother! I also ended up with 2 drakes that have the mallard green head only lighter! And they are all very smart! It's been a fun adventure!
