I am going to the feed store to pick up 10 baby wyandottes both silver and golden (half of each). What characteristics do I look for to get the most attractive adult bird? Is darker better? Some particular pattern? some behavior characteristic? Thanks for any advice.

I already answered you on your other thread, but as QueenMisha so nicely summarized there, at this age you can't tell much of anything in terms of body type or quality. Get the biggest, most active chicks you can see, since health is about all that can be determined at this age. If you are looking to stay more true to breed make sure they have nice mostly orange-yellow legs and flat rose combs beginning the sprout just above their beaks. Reject anything with an upright, serrated combs.
