Mixed aged birds in brooder. What could go wrong?

Delay in the shipment of my 15 chick order, so I purchased some of same breeds from local feed store supplier.  By chance, they had one White Leghorn - 6 weeks old, - one Rhode Island red 4 weeks, another RIR at 3 weeks, one Kuckoo Maran at two weeks, and another KKM at 5 days.

Obviously I have one juvenile, a couple of grade schooler's and a couple of babies.  All seem to get along fine, so far.  What are the concerns of mixing ages like this in a brooder?

Probably none.  but the Little uns coming in may be pushed around a little.  Any chance you can divide the brooder so they can see but not pester each other.  At least for a week or two.   By then they will have enough wing feathers to shoot up a couple of feet to get away.

I have always had Broodie raised chicks with their momma in the flock.  Oh beware the Momma hen....  No one crosses her.

Thanks for the input.  I will be getting 15 chicks 3/2.  I have a made a Big Momma hen with wire and heating pad, but none of my current mixed aged birds will go in. I was afraid to not use the heat lamp for fear the small girls would not find or use the heated area.  Any ideas how to get the soon to arrive chicks to use the Big Mamma?

make it low enough to touch the little uns backs....  actually they may teach the others to go in taller chicks will go in the front.

The bigger birds may not need as much heat and you might find them on top of the pad....   Oh Wait...  by the time the little uns get here the ones yhou have will be ready to go out to the coop.

Yah that six Week old will be nine weeks....  fully fledged and ready to go out to the coop.

Since I want to raise Guinea fowl this will be something I want to use to get started.   and I will be brooding out in the coop rather than in the house in a tub.
