Silkie Shipped Eggs

So ii'm getting ready to sit 13 silkie eggs! This is my third time to try shipped eggs. The two previous hatches were about 25% successful. I have a still air LG bator that has been running for about a day at about  101.5 temp and 30% humidity . Eggs just arrived today so I will let them rest 12 hours before putting them in. This is my first time with Silkie eggs. Any advise??

Welcome to BYC, from my experience they are the same as any other chicken egg, good luck and I hope you have a better hatch than the other two.

I hatch silkies quite frequently as they are my favorite.  Unfortunately with shipped eggs you do tend to have lower hatch rates (not always, but usually).  You dont need to do anything different with silkies than you do with any other breeds.  I have seen on here where it has been suggested that they sometimes hatch sooner than other breeds but this has never been my experience.  If you have never had the breed you will love them.  They tend to be very loving and affectionate!

Some days you just have to put on the hat and remind them who they are dealing with. Release the flying monkies!

Thank you for the reply. I love my two silkies and hope to add to them. Can't wait to candle them on day 7
