Hands on hatching and help

Brinsea did not do the study that was from a University. There are quite a few actually--enough that is valid and of course repeatable. Yes-- I misspoke ... it was based on a study, of course
Yes! and up until this year they did not recommend it for geese because the studies were not complete yet. Brinsea now recommends periodic cooling for hatching out goose eggs

Oh My!

There are studies that show the benefits of periodic cooling but it does not sound like the person would believe them

Nope, I doubt it... his earlier post was about his age and how long he's been incubating and how he 'knows what he is talking about'...
Said candling too often will kill embryos too... :/

I don't do the cooling, but I know it has merit and solid truth behind it... but I also hand turn and have my bator open every day, few times a day and for various extended periods, lol...

I thought I missed some rebuttal to my response, but there wasn't any. :lau

Yeah, I think he saw he was outnumbered! :lau

If I remember correctly @Pyxis told me that cooling was absolutely necessary for successful goose egg incubation...

Just one more Question! How many times a day do you have to turn eggs? I know you stop on day 18
Two times is the minimum. UP to 4 works great. After 4 the benefits go way down and it is hard to hand turn more the 4 times in a day
