So I haven't been on here in a while cause I got lazy about coming on for some reason but now I'm back and I was wondering...

Does anybody have a reliable scale?

This is for people.

I've somewhat "let myself go" the last few months, really since fall even, and eating junk food and gained a lot of weight. I'd like to get back into shape lol

But I had bought one at Walmart that I thought was great but it's so inaccurate.

And I don't just mean denial and saying "I CAN'T weigh that much" :p

I'll be on it and then step a few seconds later and will have a different number. And not just small ounces. Pne time recently i dropped 1.6 pounds in mere seconds!!! If only i could keep that up!! LOL

soooo I'd like a RELIABLE really good and accurate scale please. Any help!?!?!?! TIA

Not sure about scales, but i plump for the "favourite pair of jeans" approach. If they get uncomfortably tight, then i need to cut back or do some exercise (not really).

Hahaha I like that approach! Already had to get some new pants so definitely an issue

But I more just wanted it cause I'm curious exactly how much I weigh so I can know where I started.

I'd say I'm at least 30 pounds over lmao

And I've never really been one to care about weight or obsess, i eat and eat and eat :p but the issue is i never used to gain in high school and early college and now i do lol

i don't care really, I'm not like one to cry and go on a smoothie diet or anything, but that much extra definitely can't be healthy

I get scales from the op-shop and rarely use them, but if you get a "brand" name they should be reliable (and if they aren't, you can take them back). Just get some Krups or Salter or another brand that makes scales and they should be reliable.

Thanks for the tips!! Yeah, I'm not sure how often I'd use it but my brother and parents sometimes use it and it'd be nice to have one that actually works, you know? Hahah I'll look for those brands! Thanks!

I have a cheapo scale I got about a million years ago when I was too skinny to need one. I always try to sneak up on it, and very, very slowly put one foot on and then the other. If I don't notice the total has gone down by even a little bit, it wrecks my day. I badly need to lose 35 lbs. for health reasons and I've made several healthy changes in my life but, the scale isn't giving me any encouragement., and the jeans aren't getting any looser

Yeah, we had one for forever that worked pretty well but I think it broke plus it was analog and hard to read so I wanted a digital or at least one thats easier to read. This worked well at first or so i thought but it's so unreliable. But awww that really sucks, I'm sorry :( I hope you lose it soon! I too need to lose about that much I'd say and I'm only turning 22 next month. I've always been really skinny and be able to eat and eat and eat and never once gain but the last couple years I guess my metabolism slowed because now i gain hahaha soooo gotta stop eating all the junk, i dont even exercise. Bu yeah, it's hard to drop weight, i havent really tried yet but I'm afraid i wont be able to
