I have two Khaki Campbell ducks. They was born Dec 29 (so around 6 weeks old?)

I've been keeping them in the house and they're about fully feathered. I live in NC and the temps fluctuate constantly.. It's pretty cold at night(27°) Could they start staying outside now? Curious since it's only the two of them. I need the big grow out box for my 4 Pekin babies who are growing SO fast!! Thanks Y'all!!

They are going to need to be acclimated to the colder temperatures. Are they in your heated house? If so I'm guessing it's in the 60s or so. That's a 30 degree difference. Putting them straight outside now could kill them.

I have them out in my garage and it's pretty cold out there but they are in a grow out box with a lamp. I guess I could take the heat lamp out and let them get use to the colder weather before putting them outside. Like I said the temp fluctuates like crazy here this weekend it's going to be 68° nice and warm.

I think we just had a cold spell. The weather channel is saying we're gonna stay in the 60's from here on out.

If they have a house at night, and have all their teenager feathers, and you're going to be in the 60s for the forsee able future, it seems like they should be okay. Easing them off of the heat lamp would be good

Okay! That's what I'm going to start doing then! Taking the lamp out during the day and only at night then once it gets warm I'll take out the lamp at night!
Thanks y'all!
