Chickens won't come out of coop

I've seen all sorts of chicken behavior questions. Most of them concerning going INTO the coop. Mine won't stay OUT of the coop. They come out first thing in the morning but when I go back into the house, they do too. It seems like they'll only stay out if I'm in back yard with them. They're only 10 weeks'ish old and maybe that's the reason. Is this within "normal" chicken behavior?

It sounds like they are intimidated about something. Maybe they saw a predator (or an airplane.. my chickens always freak out when they see an airplane..) I recommend throwing scratch outside and food. To teach them that the outdoors are yummy.

No problem, they should get used to that with time. They will learn that airplanes aren't hawks. Just keep throwing food out there and they will learn.
