We are taking the plunge and bought 4 Barred Rock pullet chicks. They are a week old today. We have them in the brooder and are planning on buying a coop kit to get us started when they're old enough.

Hi and welcome to BYC - glad that you have joined us. The Learning Centre is a good place to start, as is your state thread as this will put you in touch with other BYC members in your locality. If you want to read up on something, then just type the topic in the search box and you should find a wealth of info, but if not, then don't hesitate to post - we are a friendly bunch and helping each other out is what we do.

All the best

Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! :)

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

Did a moth know that the flame was going to change her life forever, or did she simply fly towards that heated embrace, knowing it would offer her something she couldn't give herself? In the end, the answer didn't really matter. The moth had never wanted the choice. -Joey W. Hill-
