Pleased to Officially Be a Part of BYC

Thread Starter

I've been reading the threads for a few years now and I'm so grateful to all of the fantastic tips and info I've been able to get from the members. Looking forward to sharing a few tidbits of my own now and again.  I live in the suburbs north of Houston and have two Buff Orpingtons, one Blue Cochin, and one Araucana. Two Polish hens will be joining us soon.  I'm ably assisted in my hen hobby by my 8 yo Black Lab and 4 yo Wheaten Terrier mix.

Welcome to BYC. Glad you decided to join our flock. A lot of us were lurkers before joining. :o) My wife and I were both raised in the great state of Texas (Blue Ridge for her, Greenville for me). If you haven't done so already, definitely check out our Learning Center at http://www.backyardchickens.com/atype/1/Learning_Center. There is lots of useful information there. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have. We are here to help in any way we can. Cheers.

Welcome to BYC! I'm glad you joined us! :)

I set fire to the rain! Watch it pour as I, touched your face. Well it burn while I cried, because I heard it screaming out your name. And I threw us into flames. I knew that was the last time, the last time...I set fire to the rain! -Adele

Did a moth know that the flame was going to change her life forever, or did she simply fly towards that heated embrace, knowing it would offer her something she couldn't give herself? In the end, the answer didn't really matter. The moth had never wanted the choice. -Joey W. Hill-
