I just got my silkie chicks from a feed store and I'm not sure what's wrong with them they all are energetic and eating and drinking and then all of a sudden one by one each day one of them would start laying down closing their eyes and not wanting to get up they wouldn't eat or drink and then they started dying an hour or two later I started out with 15 Chicks Friday and now Tuesday I have nine I've lost about a chick a day I'm worried I might lose all of them so please help me figure out what's wrong with them

Are you sure they are actually eating? Are their crops full?

Awwwwwe. That's sad. I don't know what's wrong. Pick each and every one up and examine them thorouly. At this young id take them to the vet if you can't find anything.

Are their vents clear? Pasty butt almost got one of my chicks.

If they are eating and drinking, and they ae not experiencing pasty butt, I am afraid what you are dealing with is "failure to thrive".

You could try putting a little sugar in their water.

Do you have any Chick Saver? Can you get to a farm supply store to see if you can get some chicken vitamins and probiotics?
